In our most recent release, we discuss DirectConnect Demand notifications and improvements to the API and UI.
Core Improvements
Connected Demand Notifications
When a DC partner creates Connected Supply in their account, it automatically appears in your SpringServe account as Connected Demand. We have released a new series of notifications showing that you have new Connected Demand in your account.
In the top menu, you now see the number of new connected demand in your account. In the example below, you have 4 new Connected Demand objects in your account.
When you are on the Demand page, this number is shown in the DC tab.
Continuing to the Demand Direct Connections tab, partners with new Connected Demand are highlighted in yellow and appear at the top of the table. The New column shows the number of new Connected Demand objects for each partner.
Navigate to a DC Partner and new Connected Demand is highlighted in yellow and appears at the top of the table. The number of new Connected Demand objects is shown in the Connected Demand tab. There are three ways to acknowledge new DC Demand so it is no longer new.
- On the Connected Demand tab, click the icon in the New column and the icon will disappear
2. In the Connected Demand page, click dismiss or x out of the message at the top
3. Align to Supply
New Optimization Metric: Opportunity Score
We have added the optimization metric of Opportunity Score to your choices for optimizing your waterfalls.
This metric prioritizes using the formula of Net Revenue per 1,000,000 opportunities. It takes into account PPM, Opportunity Fill, and fees. It will favor your profitability while taking into account the fact that tags lower on the waterfall will get fewer opportunities.
Please see our documentation for more details on auto-optimization metrics.
Reporting Improvements
API and the Python SDK
We have made improvements to our reporting API, which now allows for pagination. This change means that large reports will run more quickly. Updates have also been made to our Python SDK. Updates can be made using pip install –upgrade springserve.
Please see github and our wiki for more information on our API and SDK. If you would like to receive API-specific release notes in future, please email [email protected].
Data Infrastructure
We have been making changes to our data infrastructure to accommodate the huge growth in volume that SpringServe has been experiencing. Domain data has been migrated to a separate database, which will allow reporting to continue to operate at the speeds you are accustomed to.
UI Improvements
Sticky Headers and Status Indicators
Headers in data tables are now sticky and will remain on the page when scrolling down.
We have added visual differentiation between active, inactive, and deleted tags in reporting:
- The names of active tags have a link to the tag’s page.
- The names of inactive tags are italicized and have a link to the tag’s page.
- The names of deleted tags are italicized and have no link to the tag’s page.
Creating Connected Supply
On the supply page, you can now click the + Supply button and a dropdown menu will appear and you can select either Supply Tag or Connected Supply.
When you select Connected Supply, a modal will appear so you can select the Supply Direct Connection.
Click Create and you will be taken to the new Connected Supply page.
Partner Filtering and Breadcrumbs
Now when you filter by either managed tags or DC Supply/Demand, the dropdown partner list will show only the relevant partners.
Managed tags that are associated to a Supply/Demand Partner now show breadcrumbs from the tag page.
When you click the link to the partner, you will see other associated tags. You can also navigate to the tabs for Settings, Users, and Changelogs.
Domain Lists now also have breadcrumbs.
