Improvements to pod reporting and ctv verification, sellers.json updates, bid density reporting, and more.
Core Improvements
CTV & Pods
IVT Options
With CTV inventory on the rise, more IVT vendors support it. SpringServe now offers WhiteOps and Forensiq verification on your CTV supply and demand tags. Additionally, WhiteOps pre-bid filtering is available on all environments. Please be aware that we are rolling out these features slowly so you may not notice them in your account immediately.
Pod Metrics
We have updated pod metrics to more accurately reflect fill when using pods. Pod Time Filled shows the number of seconds for ads that received an impression in the pod. We also now support the metric Pod Opportunity Time; this metric reflects the number of seconds returned in the pod. Opportunity seconds may or may not have received impressions.
Consider the case where your pod has three slots, each with a duration of 30 seconds.
For a single request, the Pod Time Available is 90 seconds. If your pod returns three ads, each of length 30 seconds, the Pod Opportunity Time is 90 seconds. If the first two ads get impressions and then the user closes the player, the Pod Time Filled is 60 seconds. Request Fill is calculated as Impressions / Requests, so the Request Fill would be 2/1 = 200%. Pod Fill is calculated as Pod Time Filled / Pod Time Available, so the Pod Fill would be 60/90 = 66.67%
Open RTB
As a part of SpringServe’s Sellers.json support, we now include the SupplyChain object in all OpenRTB requests. This extension object indicates to OpenRTB bidders which parties are involved in transacting on a given impression.
Feature Additions
Header Bidding
We now support PulsePoint as a Header Bidding demand platform. When setting up PulsePoint Header Bidding demand tags, enter your Publisher ID, Tag ID, and Video Placement Type. Optional parameters include minduration and maxduration.
UI/UX Improvements
Index Table
We now show Demand and Supply columns on the lite view of index tables.
Click on the number in this column to be taken directly to the waterfall tab of the supply or demand tag. This is one of multiple shortcuts to relevant tabs. To go directly to the Settings tab of an object, click on the name. If there is targeting on the object, clicking on the icon in the Targeting column will redirect you to the targeting tab.
Reporting Improvements
Bid Density Report
In addition to accessing the bid density graph on your bidder and Open Market enabled supply pages, you can now run a bid density report. To access bid density data, you can use the Bid Density Report template, which has Bid Bucket as the dimension.
On your open market-enabled supply tags you will now see a reporting icon next to the bidder dropdown in the Bid Density tab of the Open Market modal.
When you click on this icon, SpringServe will open a new tab with the reporting page with the Bid Density Report selected as the template, filters set for the Open Market demand tag and the selected Supply tag, and bidder Metrics.
